KENTARO.

Japan's DJ Kentaro is so good that I'd even go as far to say that he's "one of the illest DJs I've seen" (on Youtube). I think I am going for a hip hop flavor this week and between some good rap battle videos I'll be posting later this week and Mr. Kentaro, it'll be a good week for your Pumas.

For now, check out Kentaro beat juggling some electrohouse. I mean, when it comes to hip hop, the dude has crazy skill, but I've never seen anyone take the hip hop DJ approach to electrohouse. Crazy!

TITS AND DISCO

Cerrone is the man.

Minus the luchadore masks, this is almost a perfect music video.

SIMPLY THE BEST.

This is probably hands down one of my favorite remixes EVER.

The original:

Armand Van Helden - You Don't Know Me (1999)

and the remix:

Comes from the UK's Grum. He has nice shoes and does some killer remixes. Here's all the proof you need:

Again, it's really one of my favorite remixes ever.

RAP BATTLES.

This one is incredible.
(I promise to post a real one tomorrow. Since I do love great battles.)

71 YEARS OF GENIUS.

May 12th, 1937 - June 22nd, 2008

I feel terrible. Just last night we were jokingly mocking your brilliant stand up comedy. I hope your right ear wasn't ring a few hours before you passed. You're one of the last legends people with a sense of humor had.

No one could ever fill your shoes.

BLACK KIDS WEEK: Lykke Li remix

Every so often, I am going to feature a different musician and some work they've done. Last week was sort of Justice week. This week, I am going to be talking a lot about The Black Kids.

Just who are they? Well, you could always Google them, in the mean time, check out this great remix:

Lykke Li is one of those extremely cute and talented chicks you meet in school but feel intimidated by. Not so much because you think she's more attractive than you but because she has cool parents, lived in tons of cool countries and can sing her ass off. And she's younger than you.

Check out her great vocals on this Black Kids remix.

SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

Listen: If I can't have dinner with my family at 3pm and call it the night time and talk to my boy about monsters and transvestites, then what kind of father am I?

THE END OF THE WORLD

Comedian Patton Oswalt has a great part in his stand up where he talks about wanting to die "in the mother fucking apocalypse." I sometimes cannot agree more. Recently Chile experienced some awesome natural disasters and I hope that when I die, it's when the world ends and it looks about 100 times more awesome than these photos.

They are at it again. Are they not the cutest band ever?

RHJ

Anthony Kiedis rocking a Justice shirt during the NBA finals a few days ago.

LAZRTAG

Lazrtag is one of my favorite new remixing/DJing teams. They have great taste in who to remix and I can't wait to hear more original jams from them. Get more downloads from them at their Myspace

Heartsrevolution - CYOA (Lazrtag remix)
Crystal Castles - Crimewave (Lazrtag remix)

SPLISH

I wonder why I have not picked up a Colorspash camera from the good folks at Lomography yet. (I do own some of their cameras already!)

GUYVER

The Guyver was one of my favorite movies. I don't know if this changes my opinion for the better or for the worst.

MGMT - Electric Feel

What I like about MGMT is that they seem to be reviving a genre music I'd normally not give a shit about. But there's something extremely fun about it. I guess it helps that this Justice remix was one of the first things I've heard from them.

MGMT - Electric Feel (Justice remix)

JUSTICE - Sure You Will

This one came out of nowhere. A track for 2003 featured off of a French electro/pop compilation album. This is a great surprise from the past and yet, still a great track for summer drives!
