This is one of my favorite covers of all time. I was mentioned to a "friend" today that the best pop songs of all time are generally thinly veiled songs about sex. (I mean, c'mon. When Anita Ward asks for you to "ring her bell," I think we all know what she means!)

The original song from Olivia Newton John is a great pop classic, we can all agree there. Thankfully The Black Ghost have come to revive the old classic. The Black Ghosts (Myspace) are favorites of mine mainly because they are continuing a great tradition in their own brand of electronic dance music: Writing dance music about sex. So it's a perfect match for them to redo this gem. Have a listen a sing this with your favorite "buddy."

Leave it to the French Canadian duo electro funk spectacular that is Chromeo (Myspace) to take the song that has been the bell of the ball of every electro spinning hipster this year and make it so much funkier and smooth. Once again, French men to the second power means amazing music for each of your ears. Lace up your roller skates and pop this on your iPod.

The unstoppable force that is the Buffet Libre DJs have thrown together not only some amazing mixes, but outstanding community music projects. Verbana No. 1 is still one of my favorite mixes out there and I always find myself going back to it if I want to listen to a good mix on the fly.

I think it's honestly safe to say that any combination of two French men will undoubtable produce amazing music. Daft Punk. Justice. And in this case, Cassius (Myspace).

So what happens when you multiple the power of 2 French men with more musically talented French men (plus an extra hour to your day)? Well, you get this fine remix. 25 Hours A Day (Myspace) took the slow jam feel of this Cassius track, bumped up the tempo and added some fun dance rock guitar chords to it. A perfect track for a house party, a run in the park or dancing in the kitchen making dinner for a date.

I know it's electro crunk week on the blog but I've had this song stuck in my head when I randomly played it while I was DJing last night. This is one of my favorite tracks from Digitalism (Myspace) and it makes me want to do the little dance that Jermaine from Flight Of The Conchords does in the opening of their show. (The one with the shoulders!!!) Get you some good German electro rock!

BILLION DOLLA.

Have you ever been hit in the head with an object out of nowhere? Remember how much it sucked? Well now imagine if it was awesome and that the object was these two remixes by the UK's Billion Dollar DJs. I've never instantly fallen in love with a pair of remixes like this before. The MIA one especially reminds me of all the best bits of the Streets Of Rage soundtracks.

LADIES AND GENTS: The Ghost Frequency

It's very rare that a band comes out of nowhere and kicks my ass. It's a very welcome sensation and The Ghost Frequency (Myspace) will do it with a smile and then invite you over to watch a zombie movie. Speaking of which, give the fellows an add on Myspace. They make the general band posts and every so often they even post a favorite monster movie clip. Oh, and they also make music fusing a great mix of dance rock elements, synths and flesh eating.
